About Dr Mark El-Hayek (Chiropractor)

My names Dr Mark El-Hayek I’m a Chiropractor and the owner of Spine and Posture Care in Sydney CBD. 

I grew up in Sydney to parents who both worked in hospitals. My dad was a radiographer and mum a pharmacist. Being around hospitals while growing up I always took an interest in the human body and as I got older, understanding anatomy and how the body works just came naturally to me. 

After finishing high school I went straight into a 3 year Medical Science degree at The University of Western Sydney majoring in Anatomy. 

On completion of my Bachelors degree in Medical Science I wanted to take my knowledge of anatomy into something that I could use that would have an instant impact and be able to help people. 

This led me into a 3 year Masters Degree of Chiropractic at Macquarie University where I was able to develop much of the skills I still use today. 

Having been working for almost 10 years as a Chiro in the City of Sydney, I’ve seen a wide variety of issues ranging from neck pain, shoulder pain and headaches to lower back pain slipped discs and sciatica. 

The thing I love most about being a chiropractor is the problem solving involved in working out exactly what’s causing a patients pain and reverse engineering a solution to not just get them out of pain but keep the problem from coming back.
